Criteria: Full-time students in good academic standing (3.0 GPA or higher) at USI who have been accepted into the diagnostic medical sonography, food and nutrition, or radiologic and imaging sciences program at the time of application and receipt of scholarship. Recipients must display professional attributes consistent with the mission of Deaconess Health System to provide health care service with a compassionate and caring spirit, and must have demonstrated financial need as validated by FAFSA. Student Financial Assistance must validate need.

Criteria: Award to radiologic and imaging sciences students from Vanderburgh, Posey, Gibson, Warrick or Spencer counties with demonstrated financial need who are doing their clinical training at Deaconess. Criteria: First year student working toward a Radiologic Technology degree with minimum GPA of 2.8 at time of selection showing good potential as a radiologic technologist. Must be performing clinicals at Memorial Hospital in Jasper. Financial need should be first but not the only consideration. May not be awarded to a graduating senior. Recipient must be enrolled during the current academic year in order to receive this scholarship. Not renewable. Student Financial Assistance must validate need.

Criteria: Full-time students at the University of Southern Indiana enrolled in an undergraduate pre-clinical program which prepares them to seek employment in the fields of gerontology, geriatrics, long-term care and/or long-term care administration. Preference shall be given to students who are enrolled full-time in a specific health-related degree program with work experience and/or volunteer service related to gerontology. Preference shall be given to undergraduate students with junior or senior status or graduate students with at least one academic year of study remaining at the time the scholarship is received. Students who are in good academic standing at the University of Southern Indiana and maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale when the scholarship is awarded and received. Applicants shall submit to the selection committee a one-page essay describing their career goals. The scholarship is not automatically renewable, but may be renewed if the recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements of the scholarship.
