Program Description

This inaugural diabetes seminar is designed to deliver up-to-date, practical information that enhances clinical assessment skills and expands providers' knowledge in managing patients with diabetes.

Target Audience

The target audience includes nurses and advanced practice registered nurses. Other health professionals interested in diabetes management may also be interested in attending.

Presenters


Angela Thompson, DNP, FNP-C, BC-ADM, CDCES, FAANP

Dr. Thompson has practiced 16 years in a hospital-based Endocrinology clinic with inpatient privileges located in Danville, Indiana. A national speaker, author, and diabetes CE faculty member, she currently serves as Secretary on the AANP Board of Directors.

Jessica Scheu Martin, RD, CD

A graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and Education, Jessica has worked as a Dietician with Deaconess Health System since 2008.

Lesli Nall, PA-C

Lesli is a graduate of Missouri State University and is currently working at Deaconess Clinic- Endocrinology

The University of Southern Indiana designates this activity for 4.0 continuing education hours. CE hours will be available for Nurses, Physicians, Pharmacists, Social Workers, and Health Facility Administrators. CE hours will also be available for Indiana licensed Marriage & Family Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Mental Health Counselors, and Dental Professionals.

A $25.00 administrative fee will be charged through February 3, 2026. No refunds will be provided after that date.
