At USI, our health administration online master’s program has a proven track record of helping individuals like you advance into entry- and mid-level administrative roles in healthcare. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment opportunities for medical and health services managers — including those with an MHA degree— are also expected to grow 32 percent over the next decade.

- Applicants who wish to seek transfer credit for graduate coursework must submit an official transcript from the institution where that work was completed.

All MHA courses are offered online using the Blackboard course management system and are seven (7) weeks in duration. Courses are designed using the Quality Matters Rubric Standards based on best practices and research for course design.

Graduates of the Master of Health Administration program are prepared to:
- Demonstrate an understanding and synthesis of management principles in health care delivery.

- Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills that reflect the ability to synthesize logical common sense with a rigorous academic foundation.

Program Curriculum for the Master of Health Administration
Choose between completing the MHA in an accelerated, 1 year format where you take 2 courses per 7-week bi-term, or the standard 2 year option where you take 1 course every 7-week bi-term. Each of these courses are three (3) credit hours and are designed using the Quality Matters Rubric Standards based on best practices and research for course design.
After you complete your nine core healthcare administration courses for a total of 27 hours, you’ll have the opportunity to build specific experience for your future. At USI, we offer three unique concentrations:

- Post-Acute Care Leadership
