The International Honor Society in Psychology
Psi Chi is the international honor society in psychology, with over 600,000 members. The University of Indiana has an active student Psi Chi chapter.
Membership
To become a member of USI's chapter of Psi Chi, the following requirements must be met:
- Be a psychology major or minor
- Completion of three semesters of college study
- Completion of 9 hours of psychology coursework
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Have a minimum GPA in psychology major of 3.0
- Completed application for membership
If you meet the above requirements and have a GPA of 3.6 or higher, you will be automatically accepted into Psi Chi.
Those with GPA between 3.0 and 3.6 will be considered on the basis of their psychology GPA, service to the Psychology Department, the University and the community. These points should be addressed in the Psi Chi membership application.
