Pi Sigma Alpha

Pi Sigma Alpha is the national political science honor society. The University of Southern Indiana's Upsilon Zeta chapter inducts new members during each spring semester.
The national office of Pi Sigma Alpha in Washington, D.C. publishes Pi Sigma Alpha Newsletter twice yearly. In addition, it offers scholarships for exceptional political science paper submissions and for members attending graduate school.
Membership
To qualify for induction into the USI chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, a student must:
- Be a political science major or minor
- Be a junior with 60 semester hours completed
- Have a 3.5 GPA in at least four political science courses taken at USI, including an upper level course
- Have an overall GPA placing them in the top one-third of their whole class (e.g., third- or fourth-year class)
- Receive approval from the political science faculty
