Trauma, Teamwork and TransformationThe Indiana SANE Training Project, a program of the Southwest Indiana Area Health Education Center (AHEC) at the University of Southern Indiana, invites you to join us for two dynamic days designed to support and advance medical forensic practice for nurses and multidisciplinary teams. Led by national experts, this event will explore pressing topics shaping patient care and professional collaboration while providing current practice updates for Indiana medical forensic nurses and their teams. Interactive presentations and practical insights will equip participants to enhance care and strengthen outcomes for patients and communities.
Tracy Matheson
Tracy Matheson is the President and Founder of Project Beloved: The Molly Jane Mission. She is a wife, a mother, a grandmother and an advocate for survivors of sexual assault. Her daughter’s preventable 2017 rape and murder launched her on a path to bring light from the darkness. The title of her presentation is "We can do better. We must." Rebecca Campbell, PhD
Dr. Rebecca Campbell is a University Distinguished Professor and William J. Beal Professor of Psychology at Michigan State University. In her research career, she has studied sexual assault survivors’ disclosure and help-seeking experiences with the legal and medical systems. The title of her presentation is "Understanding and Mitigating Vicarious Trauma."
Teresa K. Hollandsworth, J.D.
Teresa Hollandsworth is a skilled litigator with 20+ years of experience as a criminal trial attorney. She has represented clients charged with all felonies including capital murder and all sex crimes. She attended and was trained at the Clarence Darrow Death Penalty College, the Colorado Method of Jury Selection and the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorney Defending Sex Crimes Training. The title of her presentation is "Best Practices to Prepare to Give Testimony."
Amy Dee
Amy Dee is an inspiring, musical, humorous nurse speaker and comedian with a powerful message about resilience, awareness, perspective and choice. She says, "These past years have tested us like never before, and we know that many challenges remain. But, here's the good news: Your personal power is either hindered or helped by how you choose to interpret a situation or event. Self-mastery comes from focusing on what you can control and making the best of what you cannot control."
