Why did you choose USI and the Romain College of Business and what makes them special to you?

I chose USI and the Romain College of Business because of the exceptional opportunities they offer and the strong sense of community that immediately stood out to me. The low student-to-faculty ratio ensures that faculty provide personalized attention and genuinely care about students' success. My involvement in numerous clubs, activities, and University-sponsored travel has enriched my experience here. These opportunities and the supportive community are what make USI truly special to me.

What are some of your favorite classes or experiences at Romain College?

Some of my favorite experiences at the Romain College of Business include interacting with the faculty and obtaining leadership positions in student organizations. These experiences have given me valuable insights into how the University operates and have allowed me to network with numerous local business professionals. Additionally, the travel opportunities provided by the Romain College have been incredible. I’ve had the chance to visit New Orleans, LA, and Orlando, FL, both supported by the fantastic staff at USI.

What advice do you have for incoming freshmen?

My biggest advice for incoming freshmen is to be open to new experiences. Step outside your comfort zone by attending campus events, joining student organizations, or even studying abroad. Trying new things can lead you to discover new passions and opportunities you might not have known were possible. For me, exploring new opportunities helped me meet amazing people, uncovered paths I hadn't anticipated, and even led to an incredible study abroad experience on a cruise ship traveling around the world for four months!

Are there any hidden gems on campus you think everyone should know about?

One of my favorite spots on campus is the second-floor balcony in the Business and Engineering Center, which overlooks Reflection Lake. It offers a great view and a nice place to study.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

The best advice I’ve received was to join both a major-related club and a non-major-related club. This has made a huge difference in my college experience and has really helped me grow. Getting involved in different activities has allowed me to meet amazing people and build a strong campus community.

What made you decide to pursue being president of Beta Alpha Psi?

I decided to become president of Beta Alpha Psi because I wanted to create opportunities for networking with business professionals and contribute to the growth of the organization. My goal is to organize meaningful campus events that help fellow students connect with local business professionals and build valuable contacts for future opportunities.
