Two business students are the recipients of the CMA Scholarship from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). With the scholarship, seniors Audrey Barclay, accounting and finance, and Jocelynn Morrow, accounting, can complete the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) program at no cost. Each scholarship covers study materials, entrance fee to the CMA program, registration fees for both parts of the two-part exam, and a three-year IMA membership.
“USI’s Accounting Program has a long history of involvement with the IMA and is pleased to announce that Audrey and Jocelynn have received CMA Scholarships funded by the IMA,” says Dr. Thomas Noland, Chair of Accounting and Finance and Professor of Accounting. “Both are outstanding students who are dedicated to advancing the accounting profession and are deserving recipients of the CMA scholarship.”
“We are excited that Audrey Barclay and Jocelynn Morrow have received IMA’s CMA Scholarship for 2023,” says Dr. Brian McGuire, Associate Dean and Professor of Accounting. “This is a great program, and we appreciate IMA offering this opportunity to our students. I look forward to seeing both Audrey and Jocelynn as new CMAs in the future.”
"I am very grateful for this opportunity,” Audrey said. “This scholarship will help me achieve my goals of furthering my education and receiving my CMA certification. Thank you, Professor Maier-Lytle, Professor McGuire, and Professor Noland, for this opportunity."
