We'd like to extend our gratitude for two new scholarships established for the benefit of accounting majors.
Harding, Shymanski & Company
Thank you to Harding, Shymanski & Company for establishing a new accounting scholarship endowment with the USI Foundation. The new scholarship will benefit accounting majors classified with freshman or sophomore status and in good academic standing. USI worked with Matt Folz, CPA, and USI Class of 1996, who serves as Evansville Region President.
“On behalf of the accounting faculty and students at USI, I would like to thank Harding, Shymanski & Company for their endowed scholarship,” says Dr. Thomas Noland, Professor of Accounting, Chair of Accounting and Finance. “These scholarships will provide needed financial assistance to deserving students.”
“We are very grateful for the long-standing and continued support of Harding, Shymanski & Company for our students,” noted Dr. Sudesh Mujumdar, Dean of the Romain College of Business.
Accounting Circle Diversity Scholarship Endowment
Thank you to the USI Accounting Circle for establishing the Accounting Circle Diversity Scholarship Endowment with the USI Foundation. Thank you to Chair of the Accounting Circle, Bridgitte Danhauer ’08, accounting, for spearheading this effort.
“Thanks so much to Bridgitte for her leadership and all her efforts in pulling together the Accounting Circle Diversity Scholarship Endowment. The scholarship-support will go a long way in helping our students develop into stellar accountants and go on to have distinguished careers,” says Dr. Sudesh Mujumdar, Dean of the Romain College of Business. “We are highly appreciative of the long-standing and generous support of the Accounting Circle for our accounting program and for our College.”
“We are truly appreciative of the Accounting Circle for establishing the Accounting Circle Diversity Scholarship Endowment with the USI Foundation,” stated Dr. Brian McGuire, Associate Dean of the Romain College of Business. “The purpose of this endowment is to provide scholarships in perpetuity for USI undergraduate students who are majoring in Accounting and Professional Services (APS), with preference given to underrepresented students. Once these scholarships are awarded, they should assist in making our APS student body more diverse.”
