By living on campus, you are always close to academic buildings, Rice Library, the Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness Center, campus activities and events, campus dining options and the USI shuttle bus.
USI Housing and Residence Life features:
- Fully furnished suite-style residence halls for freshman students only
- Fully furnished apartment-style housing available to all students
- Theme Living Communities (TLC)
- Live-in, on-call staff
- Laundry facilities
The University of Southern Indiana has two housing options for students:
- Residence Halls are primarily for freshmen and are designed as suite-style housing that include two-bedrooms and two bathrooms for four students.
- Campus Apartments are available for all students with the exception of students with families. Each apartment comes fully furnished with a full-sized living room and kitchen.
First-year students have the opportunity to apply to be a part of our dynamic and interactive Theme Living Communities (TLCs). This who choose to join a TLC are immersed in a true living and learning environment by living in close proximity to other students who share the same major or interest and attend classes together.
Touring Campus Housing
There is a showroom in a residence hall and one in an apartment. These are a part of the Admissions Visits. If one of the Admissions visits does not work for your schedule and you want to tour a showroom, please call 812-468-2000 or email Living.
If you cannot make it to campus for an in-person tour, then get an inside look at housing options through our virtual tour. There is a show apartment in Hanly (McDonald West) and a show room in Newman Hall. Also 3D Floor Plans are available online to view.
