Rice Library announced January workshops

Rice Library is once again hosting workshops during the Spring Semester to discuss various resources available at the Library. No advance registration is required to attend and all workshops are virtual and free. Each session is 30 minutes in length and includes a Q&A. Below is the schedule for upcoming events and links to join:
- Wednesday, January 22: How the Scholarly Communication Services at Rice Library Can Help You in Your Scholarship Journey
- 11:30 a m. to noon
- Learn about all the scholarly communication services including Scholarly Open Access Repository (SOAR), open access review and funding for journals with article processing charges, copyright and Open Educational Resources (OER).

- Tuesday, January 28: The Benefits of Your Scholarship in the Rice Library Institutional Repository Scholarly Open Access Repository (SOAR)
- 2:30 to 3 p.m.
- Learn all about SOAR—Questions answered include "What is SOAR?," "How can it benefit me in my scholarship journey?," "What can I upload in SOAR?" and more. The session will also share a SOAR resource guide, help you create your author profile and discuss the ability to create a Digital Object Identifier for your scholarship.
