Hannah Haithcock is from Washington Court House, Ohio. She studied Health Services at USI while playing on the Women's Basketball team during her undergraduate years. In May of 2023, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Services. She is currently in the USI Occupational Therapy Program and works as a Graduate Assistant for the USI Respiratory Therapy Program.
She says her grandmother was her original inspiration to enter the healthcare field because of the impact she had on so many people throughout her life as a nurse, mother, sister, daughter grandmother, and much more. "My grandmother along with several other loved ones are a huge inspiration to who I am and who I strive to be in my future career and life," she says.
Hannah first learned about AHEC through an email she received before starting her graduate program. "After meeting with Krista Kercher and learning more about the program, it was without question as to why I wanted to take part in this opportunity," she says. "I knew this would allow opportunities to grow, evolve, educate myself and maybe one day help me educate someone else."
Hannah says that AHEC has allowed her to grow as a person and gain perspective in important areas of her future career and community. "AHEC is preparing me to be the best occupational therapist I can hope to be," she says.
