Cross-Disciplinary Biometrix Discovery Lab Research Accepted at Conference

Dr. Nicolas Jankuhn, Assistant Professor of Marketing, along with Dr. Katie Ehlman of the University of Nevada, Reno and Dr. Dinko Bačić of Loyola University Chicago, had their cross-disciplinary research “Behavioral Intervention for People with Dementia: A Stage I Pilot Study Using Eye-Tracking” accepted for a poster session at the 2026 Virtual Annual Scientific Meeting of the American Geriatrics Society. This data has been collected at USI's Biometrix Discovery Lab.

Nursing faculty publish article in Nurse Educator

Dr. Michelle Wakefield, Dr. Kara Doucet and Dr. Bailey Rankin are the authors of a manuscript, "AI as a Simulated Preceptor: Enhancing Case Presentation Skills in Nurse Practitioner Education," that was published in the January/February 2026 issue of Nurse Educator.

Dr. Jessica Mason and Dr. Jenna Thacker received the 2025-2026 Kinney College Faculty Development Award for their proposal, "Then and Now: A Comparative Study of Fieldwork Educators’ Perceived Essential Skills for OT Students Beginning Level II Fieldwork."
