TRIO looking for first-generation USI employees

In an effort to recognize and celebrate the many first-generation faculty and staff members at USI, TRIO Student Support Services is asking USI colleagues to identify themselves as first-generation college graduates.

This collaboration will not only highlight the incredible number of first-generation professionals across our campus, but also foster a sense of community for our students who are navigating the challenges of being first-generation themselves.

TRIO invites all faculty and staff who identify as first-generation to participate by filling out a brief online form. As a token of appreciation for their participation, those who complete the survey will receive a First-Generation ribbon to attach to their name tags. This will allow them to visibly show our students that they, too, are first-generation, helping build a stronger connection and sense of community.
