Wellness Program Calendar - Spring 2026 

January / February:

1/14: Self-Care Station (11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. UC Upstairs Table) Remember to take care of YOU at USI! Stop by our Self-Care Station to learn about the many wellness resources on campus, and pick up free stress balls, sleep masks, ear plugs, band-aids and more!

1/21-1/28: One week of Mindfulness: Virtual Wellness Challenge: Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment and can be a helpful tool for managing stress. During this one-week virtual challenge, you’ll receive instructions for short and simple mindfulness practice each day via e-mail. Complete the challenge, and you’ll be entered in a drawing for a prize! *Registration is now closed*.

2/3: HIV Testing (12-2 p.m. in UC 2217): Take charge of your health and know your status! Free and confidential HIV and Hep-C testing is offered by Matthew 25. This is a drop-in event – no appointments.  

2/11: Eat Smart for a Healthy Heart: Nutrition Workshop (3:30-4:30 p.m. in RFW 122) – Help us celebrate American Heart Month! Join us as we discuss tips to live a heart healthy lifestyle. Hosted by USI Food & Nutrition Department and RFW.

2/18: Improve your snooze (12:15-1:00 p.m. in UC 2219): Learn helpful strategies and relaxation exercises to get the best sleep possible! Sponsored by RFW and USI Deaconess Clinic.

2/25: Grab and Go Journaling for Stress Relief (11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. UC Upstairs Table – near the Loft): Feeling worried about something? Can’t get something off your mind? Expressive writing can be an effective strategy for stress relief. Stop by our table to pick up a free journal and learn helpful tips to get started.

March:

3/4: Spring into Wellness Resource Fair (3:00-4:30 p.m. in RFWC Lobby): Explore wellness resources and grab free giveaways before you head into spring break! Plus, enter to win a hammock! 

3/18: National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week - Trivia Table (11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. UC Upstairs Table - near the Loft): March 17-23 is National Drug and Alcohol Facts Week! Stop by our table to test your knowledge and learn how to make informed decisions about substance use. 

3/20-3/29: 10-Day Virtual Gratitude Challenge: Practicing gratitude can positively impact emotional wellbeing. Join this 10-day virtual challenge to incorporate more gratitude into your day! The challenge will invite you to reflect on a different gratitude prompt every day for 10 days. You will receive an e-mail each day that includes the daily prompt. Sign-up here!  

3/26: Spring De-Stress Fest (2-4 p.m. in RFW 122): Come relax with mini clay pot painting, coloring, and hot chocolate. Don’t forget to grab a free herb seed packet to take home and grow your own fresh seasoning, plus free stress management resources and swag from CAPS. Hosted by RFW and Counseling & Psychological Services.
