Exercise Science - Pre-Occupational Therapy Track Overview

Studying pre-occupational therapy at USI provides hands-on practice to help patients with developmental or cognitive disabilities perform everyday tasks independently. The program focuses on improving daily living skills and offers opportunities to design exercise programs for healthy individuals, those with disabilities, and athletes through community partnerships.

The exercise science major with the pre-OT concentration’s curriculum aligns with graduate OT program requirements at USI and other programs across the Tri-state and equips you with essential skills. The Kinesiology and Sport Department features small class sizes and state-of-the-art equipment, such as Alter-G Anti-gravity treadmills, EKGs, various training and body composition equipment, and more. With dedicated faculty and excellent lab facilities, you’ll gain the knowledge and experience needed to succeed in your field.
