As a pre-physical therapy student at USI, you'll receive hands-on training to help patients improve mobility and perform daily tasks. The program emphasizes treating impairments to enhance movement and reduce pain, with coursework in Exercise Science tailored for pre-PT that prepares you for graduate studies. You'll also design exercise programs for various populations, including athletes and individuals with disabilities.
USI's Kinesiology and Sport Department offers small class sizes and access to a variety of equipment seen in traditional and advanced Physical Therapy clinics. Our laboratory spaces include common equipment such as the blood pressure cuffs, heart rate monitors, goniometers, and various exercise equipment while also boasting state-of-the-art equipment such as Alter-G Anti-gravity treadmills, metabolic carts, a Biodex Isokinetic Machine, wireless EMGs, and more!. With dedicated faculty and practical experience, USI equips you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in your future career.
