Hogg named Interim Executive Director of MCC

July 18, 2024

Jada Hogg has been promoted to the new permanent role of Associate Director and has stepped into the Interim Executive Director position for the Multicultural Center (MCC). She began her role on July 16, 2024.

The MCC was established to enhance students' personal and academic success by preparing them to be responsible citizens in a multicultural society. The MCC creates opportunities to provide cultural interaction between students, the campus and the community at large to offer outreach experiences and to promote cultural awareness and sensitivity. The department sponsors programs, provides services, advises organizations, hosts events and conducts diversity training both on and off campus, as well as assists in the recruitment of students.

Hogg began working at USI in November 2018 as the Outreach Coordinator and Student Mentor in the MCC and is currently in her 24th year in education and community advocacy. As a mentor, she has served as an advisor for several student organizations, and she also oversees the many MCC events that serve knowledge to students personally and professionally.

Hogg has a master’s degree in educational leadership and two bachelor’s degrees in biology (pre-medicine) and early childhood education, all from Greenville University in Greenville, Illinois. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at USI with a focus on student loan debt.
