The University of Southern Indiana is grateful to have faculty and staff who are highly experienced in an array of subjects. To further elevate the visibility and reputation of our institution (a component of the University's Strategic Plan), we would like to invite faculty and staff to showcase their knowledge at the community, state, regional, national and global levels through media exposure.
Here's how you can help. USI faculty and staff content experts are individuals who provide expertise on a variety of subjects for both external and internal media. University Strategic Communication currently maintains an internal list of USI faculty and staff content experts but is looking to expand and restructure this list to be available externally as a subpage on the USI News website.
This will allow media outlets to openly browse USI faculty and staff content experts and their subjects of expertise, and then consult with University Strategic Communication to schedule an interview or follow up.
USI faculty and staff content experts’ contact information will NOT be made visible on the webpage. Media will be asked to arrange contact with experts through University Strategic Communication.
University Strategic Communication will offer media training and/or preparation for those content experts who want or need it.
We realize media requests often come at the last minute, and we understand you may not always be available when called upon. We will always work with you to arrange the most convenient time for an interview.
