The pre-law minor at the University of Southern Indiana is an interdisciplinary minor which includes courses from disciplines such as economics, criminal justice, business, communications, political science and anthropology. The minor is aimed at students who wish to attend a law school.

Students who complete the political science or sociology major may count up to six hours of credit from the major toward the pre-law minor.

Law Scholar Program

Pre-law students and recent graduates also are eligible for the University of Southern Indiana Law Scholar program, which provides admission, scholarships and other benefits to attend the Indiana University McKinney School of Law.

Law Day

Each spring USI’s Pre Law Program puts on a Law Day featuring several events and open to USI students, local high schools, and the Evansville area community. While each Law Day is different, the program typically consists of a morning presentation on the program by Dr. LaRowe, a lunchtime presentation (past events have included moot court demonstrations and expert panels of local lawyers and judges), and the day’s feature event: oral arguments heard by the Indiana Court of Appeals as part of its Appeals on Wheels program.

Find out more on the Law Day page.
