The Financial Aid Offer is notification that the University has received and evaluated students' Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It lists the types of financial aid students are eligible for and includes important information such as the Cost of Attendance/Financial Aid Budget. Note: Direct Loan eligibility is automatically calculated upon receipt of FAFSA results. Direct PLUS Loans will not appear on the Financial Aid Offer until your parent or parents apply and receive approval for a Direct PLUS Loan.
Preliminary Financial Aid Offers are mailed only to new freshmen or new transfer students in mid-March each year. Continuing students will receive Financial Aid Offer information through their myUSI.
Initial notification is based on information available at that time. Awards are subject to adjustment or cancellation due to changes in your FAFSA, your enrollment status, satisfactory academic progress or other factors. Throughout the year, additional updates and notifications will be processed and can be viewed through the student's myUSI account. It is a good idea to check your myUSI on a regular basis for the most up-to-date and accurate information.
