2-Axis Motion Control Module


The 2-Axis Motion Control Module (MCM) is intended for use with the A-B PLC/HMI Trainer which contains a Micro850 PLC.

The Motion Control Module has two axes of motion. Axis 0 and Axis 1 are driven by NEMA 17 stepper motors. Each motor has a disc marked every 5 degrees and a screw at 0 degrees for homing each axis using an inductive proximity sensor. Each motor has a stepper motor driver set for microstepping at 6400 step/rev. The module has its own 350 W, 24 V DC power supply to power the stepper motors. The inductive proximity sensors are powered by the A-B PLC/HMI Trainer.
