The USI Pre-Medical Sciences Certificate (PMSC) is a guided curriculum designed by Pott College Pre-Professional advisors to assist students in preparing for entrance exams and meeting the prerequisites for professional schools such as medical, dental, optometry, physician assistant, and physical therapy programs.
The PMSC program is available to all students of any major as well as post-baccalaureate and non-degree seeking students. Students that pursue the PMSC must fulfill the 5-8 hours of electives separate from the electives used to satisfy their major requirements. For example, a biology cannot use both BIOL375 to satisfy both the biology major electives and the PMSC directed electives. The PMSC is not intended to aid pre-allied health students in successful application to allied health programs (e.g. nursing, dental hygiene/assisting, respiratory/occupational therapy, etc.).
