USI’s health services health promotion & worksite wellness specialty starts with a foundation in understanding why we choose healthy or unhealthy behaviors and assessment of the types of unhealthy behaviors seen in communities and worksites. You will develop interventions and evaluation systems to assess impact of interventions. A variety of courses focused on different health issues and education techniques are available in the curriculum. You’ll have opportunities to do experiential learning in an internship providing real-world experience that will allow you to understand the network of services available, and to develop and understand yourself.
The prevalence of chronic conditions and the rising cost of healthcare has prompted many employers and their employees to establish a healthy workplace.
