When renewing or converting an instructional license, Indiana Code 20-28-11.5-9 requires teachers who received a teaching license in Indiana in the previous three years to complete a survey assessing the quality of instruction of the teacher preparation program in which the teacher participated. The survey was developed by the Indiana Department of Education in consultation with various stakeholder groups such as the Indiana Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (IACTE). The survey addresses three domains (knowledge, disposition, and performance) and reflects elements of both national professional standards from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC). Due to a glitch in the licensure system, the results of the 2018 survey are limited.
