USI to celebrate cultural diversity at 2025 International Food Expo
January 22, 2025
The University of Southern Indiana International Club and Center for International Programs will host the annual International Food Expo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, February 14 in Carter Hall, located in University Center West on campus.
The International Food Expo provides an avenue for USI's international students to showcase the rich tapestry of their home countries' cultural diversity, customs and cuisine to both the USI community and public. The event will feature many main dishes and desserts from around the world, complemented by entertainment, including dances, musical performances and a fashion show highlighting traditional cultural attire.
“Our international students serve as ambassadors of their respective countries and cultures,” says Dr. Emilija (Emi) Zlatkovska, Executive Director of the Center for International Programs. “Food Expo has been the jewel of international programs on the USI campus, an event that brings the students, faculty and Evansville community together. These students work selflessly to showcase a piece of their culture to all of us and take a great pride in bringing a little of their worlds to the USI campus. Please join us and celebrate a day of love while learning about the world cultures.”
Tickets can be purchased on the Food Expo website and are $15 for non-USI students, faculty, staff and community members and $10 for USI students. Tickets can also be purchased with cash or Munch Money at Eagle Bistro or the Eagle Access Card Office, both located in University Center West. A limited number of tickets can be purchased the day of the event.
