Variety of USI summer camps return

Summer Camps are back at the University of Southern Indiana! Read more on each of the camps and what they have to offer.
Introductory LEGO Robotics Camp & Intermediate LEGO Robotics Camp
Both LEGO Robotics Camps are made possible by the Southwest Indiana STEM (SwISTEM) Resource Center, the YMCA of Southwest Indiana, and the Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education at the University of Southern Indiana.
The Introductory LEGO Robotics Camp is designed for children who have little to no past experience with LEGO Spike Prime robots and drag-and-drop coding. Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 17-21. This camp is open to incoming sixth through eighth grade students.

The Intermediate LEGO Robotics Camp is designed for children who have a foundational level of knowledge of LEGO Spike Prime robots and drag-and-drop coding. Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 24-28. This camp is open to incoming sixth through eighth grade students.

Engineering and Manufacturing Creativity Camp (EMC^2)
The Engineering and Manufacturing Creativity Camp (EMC^2) is made possible by the Southwest Indiana STEM (SwISTEM) Resource Center and the USI Engineering Department.
This camp is designed to teach kids valuable knowledge on what engineers do through a series of exciting activities covering the topics of Raspberry Pi operation, Python Programming with GPIO, LED light circuits, motor control, Computer Aided Design/Drafting (CAD) and a behind-the-scenes tour of the Toyota Motor Manufacturing facility in Princeton, Indiana.
Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 17-21. This camp is open to incoming ninth through twelfth grade students.

USI Athletic Camps
USI Athletic Camps are held over the summer by various USI Athletic programs. The camps take place throughout May, June and July and vary in length and cost. More information on camps will be coming soon.
Rick Stein Team Camp will be held from approximately 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 9-10. Registration is now open with a $375 fee (five 32-minute games at $75 per game) and is open to incoming ninth through twelfth grade female students.
Rick Stein Elite Camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 11. Registration is open now with a $85 fee and is open to incoming ninth through twelfth grade female students.
Both camps will be held in the Screaming Eagles Arena on campus.

Stan Gouard Basketball Camps will offer three camp types. High School Team Camp, open to high school male students, will be June 3 and registration is $375. Youth Camp, open to second through seventh grade male students, will be held June 17-20 and registration is $175. Elite Camp, open to high school male students, will feature two sessions, June 4 and July 27, and registration is $95.

Eagles Summer Youth Soccer Camp will be held on June 26-29 and offers full-day or half-day camp options. Full-day camp is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and half-day is 9 a.m. to noon. Check-in for all campers is on the first day at 8:45 a.m. in the Screaming Eagles Complex. Registration is now open with a $160 fee for full-day and a $120 fee for half-day. The camp is open to girls ages 5 through 12.

Women’s Soccer Eagles Summer College ID Camp will be held in two parts. Part one will be July 8-9, and part two will be July 29-30. Both will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check-in will be at the Screaming Eagles Complex. Registration is now open with a $200 fee for both days and a $130 fee for one day (one day from either the July 8-9 dates or the July 29-30 dates) and is open to girls 13+ who are interested in soccer at the next level.

Screagle Swim Camp will be held 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 12-15 in the USI Aquatic Center. There will be a $350 registration fee, and the camp will be open to girls ages 8 and over.
