Bosma selected as first USI Chief Marketing Officer

Claire Bosma has been named Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for the University of Southern Indiana, effective Wednesday, February 1. Bosma will report to Kindra Strupp, Vice President for Marketing and Communication.
In this newly created role, Bosma will manage strategic marketing efforts in alignment with USI's Strategic Plan goals to elevate the reputation and visibility of the University regionally, nationally and beyond. She will be a strategic leader both within the department and at the University-wide level and will be responsible for developing and shaping data-informed institutional and programmatic marketing strategy and planning, integrating marketing efforts, unifying messaging, advancing the University’s image and guiding a diverse team of Content Marketing Specialists to ensure successful execution of those efforts.
As CMO, Bosma will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the key strengths and issues facing higher education and USI, both graduate and undergraduate students, and then shape appropriate strategies and resource allocation to ensure those strengths are enhanced, and issues are effectively addressed and communicated.
Bosma most recently served as Strategy Director at Ten Adams, a healthcare-focused branding and consulting agency in Evansville, Indiana, with stewardship responsibilities over nine non-profit health systems and academic medical centers. In this role, she led strategic initiatives and project management. Her work has included campaign strategy aligning with organizational strategy, expertise in strategic planning, crafting and curating communications frameworks and more. She has 13 years of experience in marketing agency work and five years in healthcare development and strategy.
Bosma previously worked as a Business Development Officer for Orthopaedic Associates in Evansville and as an Account Executive and later Owner of Nienaber Marketing Group. She has been involved in Warrick Trails, ANEW: A Network of Evansville Women, and various volunteer initiatives in the Newburgh and Evansville communities. Bosma also was named to the Evansville Rotary 20 Under 40 Class of 2022.
She holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science from Indiana University and a master’s degree in business administration from USI.
