Three named to director-level positions at USI

The University of Southern Indiana announces three recent director-level promotions.

Sanabria to lead Counseling and Psychological Services

Robin SanabriaDr. Robin Sanabria has been named Director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Prior to holding this position, Sanabria served as Interim Director of CAPS and as a Staff Psychologist.

As director, Sanabria will provide leadership for student mental health services at USI and provision of quality psychological interventions, outreach and consultation services to address the emotional, social, psychological and academic needs of USI students.

Sanabria holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Evansville and a doctorate in counseling psychology from Indiana State University. Prior to joining USI, she worked with Veterans Affairs, the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Department of Defense.

Stoen heading up New Student and Transitional Programs

Carmen StoenCarmen Stoen, previously Director of Student Development Programs, has been named Director of the newly-created New Student and Transitional Programs.

In this new position, Stoen will oversee a team dedicated to providing the best experiences possible for incoming and first-year students both on and off-campus, including Screaming Eagles Orientation, Camp Eagle, Welcome Week and the First Year @ USI programs.

Prior to leading this new department, Stoen was the Director of Student Development Programs at USI. She has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of South Dakota and a master's degree in higher education administration from the University of Kansas.

Draper named Interim Chief Information Officer

Stacy DraperAnastasia (Stacy) Draper has been named Interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) of USI. She fills the position previously held by Richard Toeniskoetter, who retired as CIO after 10 years of service.

As Interim CIO, Draper will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the University's information and technology assets, as well as ensuring compliance with policies and procedures regarding data and information confidentiality, integrity and security. She will also oversee and lead USI's Information Technology Department.

Prior to rejoining her alma mater as Chief Information Security Officer in 2019, Draper held compliance and security-related positions at Atlas World Group, OneMain and Old National Bank.
