New Harmony Gallery participating in Second Saturday Gallery Strolls

September 8, 2021

The University of Southern Indiana's New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art (NHGCA) is partnering with the Hoosier Salon, and the Mason-Nordgauer Fine Arts Gallery to offer "Second Saturday Gallery Strolls," this fall.

For generations, New Harmony has been known for its love of the arts, celebrating everything from Indiana-based artists to contemporary, to urban and street. The strolls are scheduled for Saturday, September 11, October 9, November 13 and December 11.

Matthew Graham, USI Professor Emeritus of English will be reading a selection of poems as part of New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art's current exhibition, Describing Language: Thinking Through Language and Communication. The reading will be Saturday, September 11 at 5 p.m. CST. Light refreshments will be served, and masks and social distancing will be required as part of University of Southern Indiana's current COVID-19 safety policy.

Guests are invited to begin their stroll at any of the three galleries on the second Saturday of each month from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. CST. Visitors can visit the New Harmony galleries and exhibitions while enjoying special presentations, wine/catering and tours of local artist studios.

The Second Saturday Gallery Strolls are free to the public. We also encourage visitors to also enjoy the local shops, restaurants and architecture during their stay. Please note the COVID-19 protocols at each location during your stroll

For more information, please contact any of the three galleries or visit www.visitnewharmony.org
