USI students take home awards in state broadcasting competition

Multiple University of Southern Indiana students took home individual awards at the 2020 Indiana Association of School Broadcasting (IASB) College Competition for work either done in class or for 95.7 The Spin, USI's student-run radio station.
Awards won by USI students included:
- First Place, Radio Imaging: Will Huck and Colin McDuffee
- First Place, Radio Spot Production: Aaron Chatman
- Third Place, Radio Spot Production: Will Huck
- Second Place, Radio Copywriting: Aaron Chatman
- Third Place, Radio Copywriting: Hunter Morgan
- Second Place, Social Media Presence: Lauren Pilkington
- Third Place, Radio Show: Colin McDuffee and Gunnar Lynch
- First Place, Video Sound Design: Will Huck
- Third Place, Video Sound Design: Grant Perry
USI tied for second place in the overall school competition with Ball State University and the University of Indianapolis. Winners were announced by IASB online in lieu of an in-person awards ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
