Share your love of campus by becoming a volunteer tour guide

February 26, 2019

Each semester 1,000 to 1,500 students from 20 elementary and middle schools visit USI. Many of the student groups request guided campus tours; however, because of the number of schools that visit and the amount of students they bring, the University unfortunately must often rely on self-guided tours instead.

These visits are a wonderful opportunity to showcase campus and connect with young students, but there is room for improvement. To better serve elementary and middle school visitors, the University is offering tour guide opportunities to current students and employees.

All USI students and employees are ambassadors for the University. If you enjoy sharing USI's story and interacting with young people, sign up today by filling out a volunteer form or contacting Lauren Clowers, events associate, at 812-464-1930 or lnclowers@usi.edu. Volunteer tour guides will receive training about buildings around campus as well as interesting facts to share about them.

Tour guides have been requested for the following dates:

Group visits typically occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., with the majority of tours scheduled between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Tours last about an hour.

More information about specific dates and times will be provided upon completion of the volunteer form
