Endowment for New Harmony Studies Fund

Supporting faculty research using our collections and sites.

The University of Southern Indiana Endowment for New Harmony Studies Fund was established in 1983-1984 through the generosity of New Harmony residents John and Josephine Elliott and the Harmonie Associates. Their gifts created funding that supports scholarly work advancing our understanding of New Harmony's history.

Who Can Apply

USI faculty doing research that contributes significantly to knowledge about the history of New Harmony.

How It Works

Submit a proposal any time. There's no fixed application deadline. Proposals are reviewed by the Provost in consultation with a committee chaired by the Senior Director of Community Engagement.

What to Include in Your Proposal

  • Project title
  • Description of your project and how it connects to New Harmony
  • Itemized budget showing what funding will support
  • Project timetable

Keep it straightforward. We want to understand what you're doing, why it matters and what you need.
