Reservations to Participate
You must make a reservation to participate in the Commencement ceremony.
Students who have applied with the Registrar's office to graduate will receive an email approximately three months prior to graduation to signal participation. If you do not receive an email, please email commencement@usi.edu. All students completing their degrees in the Spring or Summer semesters participate in the May Commencement ceremonies. All students completing their degrees in the Fall semester participate in the December Commencement ceremony.
If you feel that your name may be mispronounced by the reader during the ceremony, please contact Tiffany Porter in the Registrar's office at 812-464-1761 or email registrar@usi.edu
Participation Information
Check in for graduates for each ceremony begins in the Libery Arena, Home of the Screaming Eagles one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.
Regalia
You may order your regalia online through the Campus Store or visit the store in person for same-day pickup. Doctoral graduates should contact the Campus Store directly to place orders.
When you receive your academic regalia, check to make sure you have the gown, mortar board and tassel. Graduate students should also have the appropriate hood. If anything is missing, contact the Campus Store or email sm8386@bncollege.com immediately.
PLEASE NOTE: You will be allowed to wear only approved stoles from clubs or organizations. Refer to the Regalia, Stoles and Cords Policy page for additional information.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, graduates will be ushered out of Liberty Arena to University Boulevard and asked to return to their vehicles to depart the campus.
A livestream of each ceremony will be available at www.usi.edu/watch-commencement. Please inform friends and family who will be unable to join you in Liberty Arena of your ceremony date and time and encourage them to watch you cross the stage on your special day.
Tickets for Guests
At this time, no tickets will be required for guests at the Commencement Ceremonies.
