Jim Hunter received his bachelor’s at Miami University Ohio and his master’s degree in English from Virginia Tech. He is an English Instructor at USI and the film critic for WEHT/WTVW, the ABC/CW affiliate broadcasting which serves Evansville, Indiana, and regions of Kentucky and Illinois. Beginning his broadcast career in 2015, Hunter initiated a regular segment titled Daybreak Extra, offering comprehensive reviews, previews and commentary on new film releases. He also appears on other segments such as Lifestyles and In-Depth with fellow broadcaster Brad Byrd to cover the Oscars. Alongside his work as a film critic, he has experience in acting, writing, culinary arts, accounting and as a paramedic.
