Management is an essential component of all businesses and organizations. As a management major, you will learn to set organizational goals and allocate human, financial, physical, and information resources to achieve those goals; as well as coordinate work among members of an organization, provide leadership and motivation, and monitor progress toward organizational goals. USI’s management majors can individualize their study to fit their career goals, choosing general management, human resource management, or innovation management. You’ll find that USI’s AACSB-accredited management program offers students many special opportunities that may not be found at other universities. You’ll participate in class projects that solve issues presented by area businesses and organizations and you’ll be able to participate in business and management simulations. You’ll benefit from small class sizes, with personal attention both inside and outside of class from faculty who are committed to your success.
The Romain College of Business has earned accreditation from AACSB, which is considered the "gold standard" for business accreditation. Only 5.7% of business schools, globally, have earned that accreditation. Achieving accreditation is a multi-year process of rigorous internal focus, engagement with an AACSB-assigned mentor and peer-reviewed evaluation. Schools must develop and implement a plan to align with accreditation standards. These standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation; student, faculty, and staff as active participants; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement.
