Computer Science Overview

As one of the fastest growing fields in the United States, computer science majors are highly sought after in the job market. With a strong repertoire of classes and the ability to work with real-life data, our grads are prepared for a variety of career opportunities with an arsenal of skills that can help companies big and small. By choosing a computer science degree at USI, you can maximize your potential for success.

Students develop creative skills in critical thinking and analytical problem solving in addition to learning the fundamentals of artificial intelligence (AI), computer and programming logic, security and software development. With real-world application senior projects and student-faculty projects, students are prepared for their careers before they step into the field. Unlike most computer science programs, USI’s is uniquely housed in a business school. This provides students the opportunity to gain a knowledge of other areas.
