Entrepreneurship as a way of life is topic for USI Romain College of Business speaker

Randy Best, chairman and founder of Academic Partnerships and Whitney University System, will be this year's speaker for the University of Southern Indiana Romain College of Business Entrepreneur's Perspective Speaker Series. His presentation, "Entrepreneurship-A Way of Life," will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 6 in University Center Room 2217. The event is free and open to the public.
Best has founded or acquired more than 100 privately or publicly held companies in a broad range of fields including health care, defense and aerospace, publishing, agriculture, food, oil and gas, real estate, and education. He later founded Whitney University System, an international higher education company which forms strategic partnerships with top universities across Latin America to help them expand access to post-secondary education through technology. He subsequently founded Academic Partnerships, a higher education service company assisting leading universities, in the United States and around the world, to increase access through technology and bolster global reach.
Best is a graduate of Lamar University, and serves, or has served, in many business and education capacities. He and his wife support numerous philanthropic endeavors, mostly in Africa.
