USI is live at the Apollo
October 14, 2016
The University of Southern Indiana Multicultural Center will host this year's Live at the Apollo talent show at 6 p.m. Saturday, October 15 in Carter Hall. Doors will open at 5:30 and the event is free and open to the public, although students are encouraged to show their student ID. Even if you are not a performer, you can come out and still have a good time cheering on those that perform.
With so many students that love the opportunity to showcase their talent to a room full of peers, this event is defiantly something not to be missed. A range of students will go on stage and perform whether they sing, dance, recite poetry, or even have a funny bone. The endless fun brings out the performer in everyone.
During this year's show, students will have the opportunity to perform and compete for cash prizes in four different divisions:
- Songs - Lyrical Interpretation
- Dance and Instruments - Rhythmic Interpretation
- Rap and Poetry/Spoken Word - Artistic Performance
- Monologues, Stand-up Comedy, and Dialogues - Theatrical Interpretation
Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place winners in both individual and group categories.
