The University of Southern Indiana’s 44th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition is on display through May 4 in the McCutchan Art Center/Pace Galleries. This year’s juror, Lisa Petrulis, an artist and former director of collections and exhibitions at the Swope Art Museum in Terre Haute, selected 155 works of art created by USI art students in the past year from 351 submitted for inclusion in the show.
More than $7,000 in merit awards, scholarships, and purchase awards, generously donated by area business and individuals, were announced at a public reception for the artists on April 6. The winners, including Best of Show recipient Emily Nonte, are listed on the gallery website.
The gallery, located in the lower level of the Liberal Arts Center, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call the gallery at 812-228-5006.
