Why choose a program in Science, Engineering, and Education?

The Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education offers excellent programs that prepare students very well for employment opportunities within their chosen field or entry into graduate or professional schools. Graduates from our programs can look forward to a very bright career outlook, with high paying and productive careers available directly after graduation. In addition, more than 95 percent of the Pott College graduates who apply are accepted into medical, professional, or graduate schools.

We feel strongly that students learn by doing, not by watching someone else do it.

  • Students have ample opportunity to work side-by-side with professors
  • Much of our coursework is laboratory and/or clinically intensive.
  • Students get lots of hands-on experience with modern scientific equipment
  • Classes are small and taught by faculty, not graduate students.

Teaching is our passion and our science, engineering, and education faculty members are very good at it.

USI Faculty cares about students and really wants to help them learn. They are knowledgeable, readily accessible and easily approachable. Our academic advisors are faculty members and care about your academic success.

A campus visit is the best way to experience USI first-hand. Tour our state-of-the-art facilities, including the newly completed Applied Engineering Center. Contact the Admission office online, or phone 812-464-1765 or 800-467-1965 today to make the visit arrangements.
