MSN prepared nurses may apply for admission and receive a Post MSN APRN Certificate in the AGNP acute, AG-CNS, FNP and PMHNP specialties. Admission to the Post MSN APRN Certificate option requires admission to the USI Office of Graduate Studies which includes a copy of the MSN transcript and admission to the USI Graduate Nursing Program.
To complete the AGACNP, FNP, PMHP, or AGCNS, Post MSN APRN Certificate option, the applicant must:
1. Provide documentation of successful completion of a Pathophysiology course within the past 5 years and/or pending approval from admission and progression committee based on current practice experience.
2. Provide documentation of successful completion of a graduate level pharmacology course within the past 5 years and/or pending approval from admission and progression committee based on current practice experience.
3. Provide documentation of successful completion of a University of Southern Indiana Advanced Health Assessment course within the past 5 years and/or pending approval from the graduate admissions and progression committee based on current practice experience.
