Scholarship Opportunities

The Teacher Education Department has several scholarship opportunities available to students.   

Helen M. Bamberger Memorial Scholarship - For a junior or a senior with strong writing skills and a keen interest in teaching and community activities.  Scholarship application

Cobb-Brittain Scholarship - For a deserving education major pursuing an associate or bachelor degree in early childhood education. Information

EAECA Evansville Area Early Childhood Association Scholarship - For anyone who has had one year of experience as an early childhood professional, can show financial need and demonstrate commitment to the field. Information

Evansville Area Reading Council Scholarship - For a bright education major with a reading minor. 

Evansville Retired Teachers Associate Scholarship - For a deserving education major from Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh, or Warrick counties with personality and leadership potential. This is a one-time non renewable scholarship awarded to a current sophomore or junior education major.  Scholarship application

Kappa Delta Pi Scholarship - For a promising education major with a special education minor. Scholarship webpage

Aline Nunn Renner Non-traditional Scholarship - For bright deserving education majors.  Scholarship application

USI Student Education Association Scholarship - For a member of the Student Education Association demonstrating scholastic excellence and school and community involvement. Contact Terri Branson for application.

USI/Epi-Hab Center for Disabilities Scholarship - For a student who has had experience with disabilities and plans to help make a difference for people with disabilities. Scholarship webpage

Administrative Assistants and Associates Club Scholarship - AAA celebrates excellence in learning by awarding two scholarships to USI students. Scholarship webpage: Click here (already selected for 2015-2016).  Apply in early November.

Bower-Suhrheinrich Endowment for Teaching Excellence Graduate Scholarship - For teachers beginning a master's degree program in education. Scholarship application

Teaching Eagles Scholarship Program The program is designed to recruit science and mathematics teacher candidates from the large pool of students majoring in STEM fields (Secondary Teaching Eagles) and to recruit education majors who wish to minor in mathematics or science content (Elementary Teaching Eagles).  Scholarship webpage
