USI is exploring the creation of a Leadership Academy designed to support employers in developing talent pipelines within their organizations. This initiative aims to have a strategic approach in developing leadership and management pipelines to strengthen the success of our regional businesses. Areas of focus would include leadership and management skills, complex problem solving, strategic decision making, communication and negotiation skills, and performance management. Employer needs are continually shifting and rapid alignment of training programs with workforce needs requires a strong and strategic partnership between business and academia.
