The Art of Influencing Others

This course will teach individuals who might not have the authority to direct, but need to learn how to influence others within an organization. Developing influence with others requires building trusting relationships, establishing credibility and leading with integrity to see results.

The DiSC® behavior assessment tool will be used in this course.  It centers on the four behavioral traits of dominance, influence, steadiness and conscientiousness.

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify classic approaches to influencing behavior (behavior modification)
  • Understand “push” and “pull” behaviors that influence others to make decisions
  • Identify ways to increase personal influence with others (building trust, credibility and exercising integrity)
  • Understand how to influence specific personality types by understanding DiSC®
  • Identify techniques for negotiating and persuading others
