After attending a STEM challenge in Oakland City, a Heritage Hills High School teacher asked Mike Thissen, manager of I-69 Innovation Corridor, where he could get a connector set for his engineering students to work with. This sparked a conversation that led to a USI campus tour for Heritage Hills High School’s newly reformed engineering club.
On Friday, May 13, these students traveled from Lincoln City, Indiana to USI and toured the Applied Engineering Center (AEC) as well as the Business and Engineering Center (BEC) for a look at the university’s engineering programs and well-equipped facilities. The students, at their request, also toured USI housing to get a feel for campus life at USI.
