◊ Complete any required or optional Placement Testing
◊ Submit transcripts for any college coursework.
If you have taken any college dual coursework (in high school or at another college) that can be considered for college credit, you must request that the college(s) send an official transcript to USI Undergraduate Admission for evaluation. College coursework taken at your high school requires submission of a transcript from the college offering the college credit, even if it also appears on your high school transcript.
Transcripts may be sent electronically to email@example.com or mailed to:
University of Southern Indiana
Attn: Undergraduate Admissions
8600 University Blvd.
Evansville, IN 47712
Students completing dual credit courses with USI will not need to submit transcripts.
◊ Change major or address
Your declared major is used to coordinate advising and registration. If you
have decided to change your major since your acceptance to the University, contact the Registrar’s Office immediately to change your major. Log in to your USI email account and email firstname.lastname@example.org; include your full name, student ID number, and the major you wish to declare. If you have changed your address or other contact information, go to myUSI and select Personal Information to submit the current information, or visit the Registrar's Office. If you submitted a new major on your Orientation Reservation, we will update your major and you don't need to do this additional step.
◊ Participate in a Virtual Advising and Registration Appointment
When you submit your orientation reservation, you will be asked about days and times that would work best for a Virtual Advising and Registration Appointment. We will use the information provided to schedule an advising appointment with the advising center of your major. You will receive an email confirmation from email@example.com with the specifics about this appointment. If the appointment time scheduled does not work, simply let the advising center know and they will find a time that does work.
At this appointment, you will develop a schedule for your Spring 2021 classes. This appointment will be 30-45 minutes. Prepare for this appointment by having information about all college credit, including AP credit, you have earned or in which you are currently enrolled. These appointments will begin November 2, 2020.
◊ Apply for on-campus housing.
Living on campus is an outstanding way to prepare for life beyond the college experience. It is not only convenient, it provides many opportunities for student involvement. To apply for on-campus housing, go to USI.edu/housing.
◊ Participate in Screaming Eagles Orientation (Virtual)
Screaming Eagles Orientation will be provided virtually using the Zoom platform. These virtual orientations will last around 75 minutes and will provide a great opportunity for students to meet staff, faculty, current students and other new students; to ask questions; and to learn about resources available to help be successful at USI.
We will be offering a separate Virtual Parent and Family Orientation session at the same time. This session will focus on meeting staff and faculty and answering your parent and family members questions. When students are completing their reservation form, they will be able to sign up parents and family members for their virtual orientation program.
