Yes, many parents do attend orientation on the same day as their student, but participate in a separate Parent and Family Orientation. Parents are encouraged to attend the Parent and Family Orientation so they also learn about the resources offered on campus and how best to assist their student. The student and parent will be separate for the majority of the day. If you would like to attend your student can register you when they register for orientation. If they have already registered, they can add you by going back into myUSI and clicking on the Screaming Eagles Orientation icon.
All new students to the University are charged a matriculation fee on their first semester bill. This non-refundable fee covers the orientation program. There is no fee for two guests to attend Screaming Eagles Orientation. Additional guests will need to purchase a lunch ticket. We do ask that you only register those whom you know will be attending.
