Welcome Commuter Students! Let’s be real: being a college student is no walk in the park. As a commuter student, you will most likely run into obstacles that are different from those faced by resident students. While trying to balance coursework, commuting, working and having a social life may prove to be challenging, Student Development Programs is here to help make your experiences as a Screaming Eagle as invigorating as possible. It all begins here. Our office provides an array of opportunities for commuter students to get involved on campus. We can help you get connected to over 150 student organizations, participate in leadership development programs and help you learn about movies, entertainment, lectures and activities to attend. We have created this website to serve as a resource about issues that relate to you—the commuter student. We can help you get started on your journey here at USI.

Make sure to check out the University Center. This is the building where you can charge your devices, use a microwave, find a place to study, or even attend campus events. The University Center has food locations, student lounges, meeting rooms, and Carter Hall.
