University of Southern Indiana’s Historic New Harmony invites the public to help celebrate the holiday season with a digital holiday card competition. Each year Historic New Harmony celebrates the holiday season with a timeless message to our wonderful supporters and is asking for the public’s help in finding the perfect photo that encapsulates the spirit of New Harmony.

The image should embody the art, architecture, culture, nature or history that New Harmony is known for in some way. The more creative and innovative, the better.

Photos will be juried by a team from the New Harmony Gallery of Contemporary Art and Historic New Harmony, with the winner being chosen for the digital Historic New Harmony holiday card. All photo submissions will also be placed in a virtual gallery on our website.

The contest is open to all ages and to amateur and professional photographers. Photos will be credited to the photographer on the website. A release will be needed from the photographer. A guardian will need to sign if the photographer is under the age of 18.

Submissions of your original photo and the completed release form can be sent to harmony@usi.edu by Sunday, November 1, with the subject line "Holiday card photo submission."

Historic New Harmony is a unified program of the University of Southern Indiana and the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites. By preserving its utopian legacy, Historic New Harmony inspires innovation and progressive thought through its programs and collections.
